THE STORY BEHIND THIS COLLABORATION

2022: A mother was asked to leave the Louvre Museum in Paris because she was breastfeeding her baby on a bench in one of the galleries. She was told to go to the bathroom to breastfeed instead.

In response, we launched a poster campaign in Paris, Brussels, and Marseille – featuring mothers breastfeeding their babies anytime and anywhere, alongside comments from people online who were outraged by it. (You can find the reel about it here.)

Our mission is to protect and support mothers who choose to breastfeed – both in private and in public spaces. ANYWHERE, ANYTIME.🥛

2026: And four years later, we are still hearing stories like that of a mother from Saarbrücken who was asked to stop breastfeeding in a department store. (You can find the reel about it here.)

We knew that this issue extends far beyond France. But the many similar stories shared by German mothers have once again confirmed that there is still a lot that needs to change.

We want to help drive change across borders. That’s why, together with the non-profit organization Stillen Verbindet e.V. and all of you, we have created a breastfeeding T-shirt, with 100% of the net profits being donated to the organization.

Stillen Verbindet e.V. – Pour le droit d'allaiter partout

Stillen Verbindet e.V. – For the Right to Breastfeed Anywhere, Anytime.

Every woman should be able to decide when and where she breastfeeds her child – without shame, sexualization, or unwanted comments. Yet even today, this is still far from being a given.

What began as a moment of outrage grew into a nationwide and international movement under the hashtag #IchStillWoIchWill (which originated in Munich). After a breastfeeding mother was asked to leave a shopping centre in Saarbrücken because she was breastfeeding her baby there, numerous mothers shared their own experiences. Through photos and personal stories, they drew attention to the stigmatization and taboo surrounding breastfeeding in public spaces.

The message is clear: Breastfeeding is part of everyday life and, therefore, belongs at the heart of our society.

Out of this movement, the non-profit organization Stillen Verbindet was founded. Its mission is to make mothers visible, empower them, and connect them with one another. The organization is committed to ensuring that breastfeeding mothers always feel welcome, seen, and supported – everywhere and at all times – and that breastfeeding in public is recognized as something completely natural and normal.
